本試験は3つのサブスタディから成る。サブスタディ1は52週間の無作為化二重盲検プラセボ対照維持療法試験である。サブスタディ2は52週間の無作為化探索的維持療法試験である。サブスタディ3は,サブスタディ1 又は2 を完了した被験者若しくは,COVID-19 により,最終来院時の内視鏡検査を実施していないM16-067 試験の導入療法で改善した被験者を対象とした非盲検長期継続投与試験である。

2 試験等の目的及び内容並びにこれに用いる医薬品等の概要

(1)試験等の目的及び内容

本試験は,導入療法で改善した中等症から重症の活動性潰瘍性大腸炎患者を対象に,維持療法としてのrisankizumabの有効性及び安全性をプラセボと比較し評価する試験である。 本試験は3つのサブスタディから成る。サブスタディ1は52週間の無作為化二重盲検プラセボ対照維持療法試験である。サブスタディ2は52週間の無作為化探索的維持療法試験である。サブスタディ3は,サブスタディ1 又は2 を完了した被験者若しくは,COVID-19 により,最終来院時の内視鏡検査を実施していないM16-067 試験の導入療法で改善した被験者を対象とした非盲検長期継続投与試験である。 The purpose of this study is to evaluate safety and efficacy of risankizumab in participants with ulcerative colitis (UC) in participants who responded to induction treatment with risankizumab in a prior AbbVie study of risankizumab in UC. This study consists of three sub-studies: Substudy 1 is a 52-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled maintenance study; Substudy 2 is 52-week, randomized, exploratory maintenance study; and Substudy 3 is an open-label long-term extension study for participants who completed Substudy 1 or 2, or participants who responded to induction treatment in Study M16-067 with no final endoscopy due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate safety and efficacy of risankizumab in participants with ulcerative colitis (UC) in participants who responded to induction treatment with risankizumab in a prior AbbVie study of risankizumab in UC. This study consists of three sub-studies: Substudy 1 is a 52-week, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled maintenance study; Substudy 2 is 52-week, randomized, exploratory maintenance study; and Substudy 3 is an open-label long-term extension study for participants who completed Substudy 1 or 2, or participants who responded to induction treatment in Study M16-067 with no final endoscopy due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Participants who have completed Study M16-067 and have achieved clinical response as defined in the protocol.

1. risankizumab,治験薬の賦形剤若しくはチャイニーズハムスター卵巣の成分に対する既知の過敏症を有する被験者,又はM16-067 試験の期間中に発現した有害事象によって治験責任(分担)医師が本試験に不適当と判断した被験者。
2. 何らかの理由で,治験責任(分担)医師が本試験の対象患者として不適当と判断した被験者。
3. M16-067 試験の期間中,前治療及び併用療法に関する要件を遵守しなかった被験者。

1. Participants who have a known hypersensitivity to risankizumab or the excipients of any of the study drugs or the ingredients of chinese hamster ovary (CHO) or had an adverse event (AE) during Study M16-067 that in the Investigator's judgment makes the participant unsuitable for this study.
2. Participant is considered by the Investigator, for any reason, to be an unsuitable candidate for the study.
3. Participant is not in compliance with prior and concomitant medication requirements throughout Study M16-067.
